OCTOBER ORGY OF VIOLENCE 14 - THE REVENGE
30. Barbarian - When you love horror movies you’re used to having to suspend a certain amount of disbelief. People make stupid decisions in horror movies to move the plot along. But the amount of completely unrealistic choices the main character makes just killed this for me. Has the writer ever met a woman? There is literally no woman who is going to sleep in an Air BNB with a complete rando, but the most unrealistic part is her choosing to go into the dark scary basement after the dude that she’s know for like two hours. I wouldn’t do that for people I’m related to! Sorry bro, you’re on your own.
All that aside, it wasn’t a bad movie, but I don’t get all the hype it was getting. It’s just been a long time since I’ve yelled at my TV quite this much during a movie.
31. Fall - I love a good Man vs Nature movie, so really liked this one. I’m utterly terrified of heights so for me, the tension was at an 11 the entire time. The visuals were incredible, and I was really invested in the characters and their survival. Even my non-climbing ass knows that you tell someone where you’re going though! I really wish I’d had a chance to see this in IMAX!
