12. The Sixth Sense

"You ever feel the prickly things on the back of your neck? That's them."

This movie is Just. So. Good. This isn't just a good horror movie. It's a spectacular example of a movie period. Haley Joel Osment, Bruce Willis, and Toni Collette are all fantastic in this. It's a solid ghost story with a twist I never saw coming. 1999 really was an incredible year for movies.

The first of many Stephen King movies in the list! No one does atmosphere quite like Stephen King. This is a haunted hotel movie, but instead of wandering around a huge place like The Shining, it's one evil, creepy room. I'm not a huge John Cusack fan, but watching his transformation from skeptic to horrified believer was great. Very underrated King movie.
