OCTOBER ORGY OF VIOLENCE 13
Oct. 24th, 2021 11:32 am17. The Invisible Man - This was my #1 pick from last year, and I still love it. Elizabeth Moss is just fantastic, and the level of tension the movie creates is off the charts. I can’t think of any other movie where I spend so much time staring unblinkingly at seemingly empty parts of the frame, looking for any tiny hint of movement. A+ movie.
16. 28 Days Later - One of my very favorite zombie movies, and I really love zombie movies. Fast moving, scary AF zombies along with an infection that takes literal seconds to kick in makes for an amazing watch that never gets old.
15. The Ritual - My 2019 list had a lot of gems for me, and this was near the top. Man vs nature, man vs monster, AND hillbilly horror all in the same movie? Sign me up. The monster was one of the most creative I’ve ever seen, and the atmosphere of the Swedish forest was perfect. I’ve actually read the book for this one, and the first part of the book is what the movie follows. Part 2 goes a bit off the rails, and I’m glad they left that out of the movie. Still worth a read though and DEFINITELY worth a watch.
