Turkey Day and a poll

Life has been crazy for the past month. Training at Apple, and now I'm working the phones. It's not bad and most of the people I work with are great. I just need to manage to get officially hired by Apple so I can stop the contracted Volt employee stuff. Because it suuuuuucks. Their benefits are so bad that they're not even worth considering whereas Apple's are so good I want to cry.

Also I want an iPad. So bad. They are the best thing ever.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. It was just me and Joe eating delicious turkey, pie, drinking Butterbeer. (If anyone is wondering, the best Butterbeer ever is half apple cider, half hard cider, butterscotch sauce, a splash of whisey, all simmered over low heat. Top with whipped cream. It is the best thing to ever happen.) It was a wonderful day all around. Cozy and romantic and relaxing. I adore that man more every day.



Last Sunday (November 28), I got a cat! Joe found an add on craigslist from this really nice couple that had to give her away. The husband had asthma and the cat was bothering him too much. The most awesome thing was they gave us a ton of stuff with her - litter box, toys, beds, scratching posts,a cat carrier, seriously a LOT of stuff. Of course the best thing they gave me was the KITTY.



She's bouncy and cute. She's very very affectionate. She actually follows me around the house. I have my own velcro kitty. Joe and I are also making our own cat food. I have a bag of chicken hearts in my freezer lol. Nothing but fresh meat for my baby!

My biggest problem is figuring out what to name her. Her former owners named her Dannie which is going to be her middle name (stfu she totally gets a middle name). Dannie's not a bad name, but I've never had a non-fish pet and I really want to name her.

I'm laying in bed and she's asleep on the pillow behind my back. It's so cute I just might die.

Buttercup goes with her coloring! She's such a pretty golden color.

And I'm totally going to try that Butterbeer recipe out. Maybe with two dashes of whiskey.

The Butterbeer is seriously fantastic! We drank so much of it!

The cat's coloring is also a lot more white and greyish tan than in the photo. I think some of the reflection from my orange walls gave her a golden tone. Looks like Buttercup is winning tho!
