OCTOBER ORGY OF VIOLENCE - PART 666

Nastassia fact - this movie came out in 2008, and I couldn't bring myself to watch it until last Halloween. The Strangers is pretty much my biggest fear made into a movie. The moment in the beginning of the movie when Liv Tyler is standing in the kitchen and we see one of the killers watching her from the edge of the frame still gives me chills. The thought of pulling back my curtains and seeing someone standing there just watching me makes me want to curl into the fetal position and scream.
This movie is far from perfect. If you find a gun, you get yourself in a fortified position with your back to the wall and you shoot anyone that walks through the doorway. And if the killer breaks your windshield and slashes your tires, you drive on the fucking rims.
For all its flaws, this movie is still utterly terrifying just because I have complete and 100% faith in the inherent cruelty and evil of plain old humans.
"Why are you doing this?"
"Because you were home."
