OCTOBER ORGY OF VIOLENCE 9 - SESSION 9

Let me start off by saying body horror is probably my least favorite sub-genre of horror. (Yes, I enjoy torture porn and found footage more than body horror.) That being said, it’s also the horror sub-genre that produces the most effective horror reaction out of me. There were definitely a few moments of watching this through my hands. THE HAIR OH GOD THIS IS WHY YOU DON’T EAT YOUR HAIR. On the whole, this wasn’t a movie that I enjoyed or that I really have the urge to ever watch again, but I did think it was very well done. French horror is always a bit polarizing, and this was very very French. But I feel like at least personally even if I don’t always enjoy French horror movies, they’re always good.
16. A Dark Song
I really really really liked this movie. Anytime you have a tiny cast and such a tight focus, it has to be ON, and this absolutely was. I love mythology and backstory in my horror, and this provided that in absolute droves. This is probably my favorite so far this month, other than “Gerald’s Game.”
