SPN 4x17 "It's a Terrible Life"

LOVED the hilarity. When it comes to fic, I'm usually not a fan of the whole "Dean is a firefighter, Sam is a cop/Jensen and Jared are political interns/whatever wacky AU world" but this ep just WORKED because underneath all the office life and fake normal life they were still THEM.

Dean doing master cleanse, low carb craziness? You know you're in bizarro world.

Dean's parents Bob and Ellen and his sister Jo! ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS MAKE HER A WINSISTER KRIPKE!

Sam looks amazingly hot in his dorky yellow polo. Also was highly amused by his little messenger bag.

Dean can seriously work a suit. It was....magical.

GHOSTFACERS. As soon as I saw them bust out the computer, I knew that was coming and it was BEAUTIFUL.

Now according to goggle there isn't an angel called Zachariah, but there is one called Zachriel who is "an angel who rules over memory." That seems pretty fitting to me! I like Zachariah for the most part. Now I'm a fan of Dean's man pain, and I think if there's anyone who deserves to whine, it's him, but the show needed Dean to get back on his feet, and it seemed to work. But srsly guys, ease up on Dean.

No Castiel. That makes me sad. I mean, he doesn't have to do everything. Just give me 30 seconds each episode of Castiel staring intensely into the camera.

This season just continues to get better and better. Topping "On the Head of a Pin" is pretty much impossible because it was just brilliance incarnate, but this ep was a fun little palate cleanser after last week's angst-fest.

Can it be next week now?
