It's been ages since I posted, so here's what's going on.

I hate my job. Dear god I hate my job so much. I hate all the barely literate morons who chat in. I would sell my soul for a job with zero customer interaction. I miss working at William Arthur and typing things and NOT TALKING TO IDIOTS so much.

Beyond that my life is basically a cycle of - get to work, count minutes until I can leave, count the days until weekends, count weeks until vacation. Exciting.

It's so depressing because Joe and I know what we want to do. We want to buy land, build a house ourselves, and set up a small subsistence farming operation/CSA. But we have to pay of our debt to do this and the thought of being trapped in this job where nothing I do matters for two or three more years make me want to hang myself.

On a less depressing note, there's another girl at work, Brett, who hates the job as much as I do. We're starting an etsy business making dog collars. We're still in the preliminary phases, but hopefully we make some decent money doing this so we can both get out sooner than later.

Oh no! I'm awfully sorry to hear it. I thought you loved your job! :( Did I miss something? You seemed so enthusiastic about it before. Any chance of changing to another job while paying down your debt? Being in a job you hate has got to be one of the more miserable experiences in life.

I love my company, adore my coworkers, and have great managers. However the customers are what kill the job. People are so incredibly rude and stupid. Like today, I had someone chat in asking a tech support question. I told him we're actually sales chat and not tech support and then PERFECTLY ANSWERED HIS QUESTION. They he told me to fuck off and called me a skank, slut and whore. I wish there was anything even slightly unusual about that chat.

I also have an hour commute each way. I'm on our HR page every single day checking for openings. Preferably I can get something with no customer interaction that's home based, but I'll take one or the other. I'll make the commute for a back office job with not customers.

I just want to grown things and bake things. :-(

You'd be surprised how possible things can be if you're open to bizarre opportunities. Take this, for example (Richardson TX is where the Ackles live; this is near there.)

That house is freaking awesome! It totally reminds me of Bobby's house!

I know right? Amazing. She really does want to unload it for free. I can't believe she hasn't had any takers yet.
