I like this movie because it supports my worldview of "Monsters are scary. People are scarier." I have to say though, if I was in this scenario, I would have hit that religious fanatic bitch in the face with a bottle and shoved her out in the mist to be eaten by the giant bug monsters. She was a lot more terrifying than the monsters.
The claustrophobia in the movie was incredibly effective, and the ending is an utter punch in the gut.
