21. The Others

I desperately wish there were more historical horror movies out there. I love a good ghost story, and this one has it all - spooky house, creepy atmosphere, British people. I saw this in the theaters right when it came out, and it was one of the first DVDs I ever bought. (Also just realized that was 14 years ago. Damn, I'm old.) Nicole Kidman is fantastic in this movie. Definitely a favorite.

Have you seen The Woman in Black? It's a great suspenseful ghost story on its own, but perfect if you're a fan of historical horror.
