OCTOBER ORGY OF VIOLENCE 13
Oct. 15th, 2021 01:34 pm27. The Babysitter - Good horror comedies are just SO GOOD, and this movie is nothing but batshit fun. The deaths are awesome and bloody, the whole thing is gorgeous, and Samara Weaving is great as always. The sequel is fun too, but nothing tops the original.
26. Crawl - I utterly adore the whole killer shark/alligator genre. The movies never take themselves too seriously, and I genuinely enjoy a good jump scare. I don’t care how stupid the premise is, I will watch a giant creature movie. Combine it with another great love of mine - the disaster movie - and we have a match made in gator heaven.
25. Frailty - I’ve never actually made a list of my top movies from the 90s, but this at the very least makes the top 20. The child actors are fantastic, and as a non-kid person, that will absolutely make or break a movie for me. (I’m looking at you irritating kid in the Babadook.) I always wished Matthew McConaughey had done more horror or even more horror-adjacent thrillers.
