7. The Conjuring - I love this entire franchise. All the movies that have sprung out of this universe aren’t great, but all three Conjuring definitely are. I really enjoy that the later movies focused more heavily on Ed and Lorraine. (Yes, I know their real counterparts were pretty terrible, but I love the fictional versions of them.)

6. IT (Chapter 1) - I didn’t hate the second chapter of this movie like a lot of people did, but chapter one is just so fantastic that the second part pales. All the young actors are just so freaking good, Pennywise is terrifying, and I never get tired of seeing anything in the Derry universe.

5. Silent Hill - Sure, it’s a movie that’s based on a video game, but the visuals are just so striking that this movie remains a favorite.
