I was right about Snape! My senior thesis still stands! All you nay-sayers who proclaimed that Snape was evil can suck it!

I WAS RIGHT. SNAPE IS GOOD AND HE LOVED LILY ALL THSES YEARS AND HE WAS DECIDEDLY NOT EVIL.

I really really really cannot wait until this book is made into a movie just to see Snape's chapter is filmed.

Even the fact that Snape died *SOB* isn't that sad because he died as a good guy.

However, I have one thing to ask of dear JK. HEDWIG?!?! SERIOUSLY?!?! YOU HAD TO KILL THE POOR OWL?

The body count in this book was insane. Hedwig *SOB,* Moody, Dobby, Remus, Tonks, Fred, and Snape *MORE SOBS.* She broke up the twin OTP!

Speaking of OTPs, Draco and Narcissa were just lovely. Adored the entire Malfoy family in this books. More vindication because they were redeemed.

The only thing I could have lived without was the epilogue. I adored how Harry named his son Severus, but everything else was very much like something I've read in fanfic. Multiple times.

On the whole, the book was incredible. The best of them all. I just can't believe it's over. There were actual TEARS when this book ended, not because of my sadness over the deaths, but because the book is over. There's no more.

I'm going to have to find something new to obsess about!

I bought the first book in the middle of my freshman year of college in 2000, but I didn't get around to reading it until a few months later. I read the book and immeaditely went out and bought books 2-4 and devoured them over a weekend.

When book five came out, I read the entire thing in one sitting, not noticing or caring as the sun set and rose again outside my window.

I wrote my senior thesis about books 1-5, a 47 page epic called "In Defense of Harry Potter" with the subcategories of "The Politics of Good and Evil in Harry Potter," "Villains from Faust to Harry Potter," and
"From Lowood to Hogwarts - Education in British Literature." I got an A+, and my professor told me, "Reading this, I am convinced that Snape really serves as the artistic center of the books in a lot of ways."

I went to my first midnight book release for book six, and I was shocked over the ending with everything else, but I still believed in Snape. Then I started counting the days until book seven.

I really wish it was possible to unread a book so I could go back and read the book like it was brand new. That would be awesome.

For now though, I think I'm going to delve back into HP fandom. It's been about a year and a half since I left, and I'm REALLY craving some fic now. Anyone who's in the fandom, PLEASE suggest comms to me.

I think one of my FAVORITE parts was the "Is Draco alive?" with Narcissa. She fucking ROCKS me, and I cannot even wait to write fic to explore that.
