I had the most traumatic driving experience tonight. For those of you not in the know, I've only had my drivers liscense for about eight months. I'm also not a fan of driving, mainly because my car is a worthless piece of shit (AMERICAN CARS SUCK) and the people in Charlottesville drive like retards.

First off, I had to drive to work in a massive downpour. Driving in rain sucks ass.

Second, the traffic light at the BIG FUCKING intersection was not working because of the storm. The big fucking intersection needs the traffic light because did I mention that people in Charlottesville drive like retards?

Finally, my big trauma of the evening occured when I was maybe five miles from my house. There was some big accident (because the people in Charlottesville? They drive like. . . something. It's right on the tip of my tongue. Oh yeah, RETARDS.) The C-ville pigs (our police force totally isn't being investigated for corruption. Nope, not at all) decided to take there sweet time in cleaning up the accident that happened THREE HOURS BEFORE and had the entire road blocked off.

The bitches detoured me.

Did I mention that I have no sense of direction and very little knowledge of the area?

So I get sent on this dark back road, and I have no idea where it leads or what it's called or where I fucking am. I pull over to the side of the road and call my Mom because I have no clue what to do. While I'm on the phone, a guy in a red Chevy truck pulls up in front of my car and gets out.

So this is pretty much the start of every horror movie I've ever seen, but fuck it, I don't have a lot of options so I roll down the window a crack and talk to the guy. Truck Man asks if I'm all right and if there's something wrong with my car. I tell him the car's fine, but I'm lost and pathetic and please help me. Truck Man turns out to be the nicest man in the universe, and he offers to let me follow him through the meandering back roads to the road I need to get back to my house.

Truck Man takes me on 64 which is even more of a trauma because I've never driven on the highway before, and there are lots of cars and semis that give me "Devil's Trap" flashbacks, and my worthless piece of American shit car can't go above 60. Anyway, I survive the highway, and Truck Man takes me to my road and drives away. I'm already thanked him like twenty times, but I wanted to thank him again. I never even got his name.

Truck Man, you are a truly wonderful individual. Not very many people would have driven 15 miles out of their way at night in the rain to help out a total stranger. Thankyouthankyouthankyou. I wish you buckets of cash and puppies. I'd probably still be on that back road if it wasn't for you.

My faith in humanity has been restored (for the moment).

Truck Man for the wins. I totally would have thought he was a Reaver or something.

HA. I was thinking it until I saw him. I was saved by a NASCAR Dad.

Aww, that's awesome. :)

Sorry about your trauma. :( I hate driving in the rain as well. I think it goes back though to the time in '99 (yep, 14 and not even driving yet) when my parents and I went to Arkansas. We drove there, and in 5 hours, passed 5 wrecks, I think it was. One of them sheets covered the bodies, and my parents saw blood on them. My windows were really fogged up, so I, fortunately, didn't see. To this day, I think there's a reason for that. EVER SINCE, not only have I been freaked out to drive in the rain, but the one time I drove to Arkansas (last year), despite it being clear and sunny, I was nervous because of rain, and it wasn't even SUPPOSED to (nor did it) rain.
