The Jersey weekend was INCREDIBLE! Dee's house is probably the coolest house I've ever seen - filled with awesome medival stuff and it seriously looks like a freaking castle from the outside.

Everyone's costumes were incredible - Dee and Scott were Gargoyles from the Disney cartoon. One dude went as Speculum man. Yeah, you heard that right. It was pretty insane. Kyle made a very sexy cowboy. I went as Sin which was pretty much an excuse to wear horns and very little clothing. A chick dressed as the Green Fairy was passing out vials of Absinthe, Joe and Kyle both had some but I'm not quite that brave.

The very long drive wasn't bad, if only because it gave me an excuse to cuddle with Kyle in the back seat for about six hours. ::Sigh:: He's amazing. I really really wish I lived in Boston.

Seeing Dee again was awesome. We're totally going to have to go see her again and we can all go to NYC.

I totally lamed out on taking pictures, so I have to wait until Dee sends the pics to me so that I can show you all my costume!

I'm not completely familiar with the rules here, but the true/scary absinthe isn't anywhere close to being legal, so whatever your friends had couldn't have been all that bad. AKA YOU'RE A PUSSY LIKE ME.

Oh no it was real absinthe. It's illegal to distribute it, but if you're a "private collector" you can order bottles from Europe. Kyle lived in Paris for a year, and he's had the real stuff before.

But the real stuff is even illegal in France, they only export a watered-down version of it, at least that's what I was told when I was there. Kyle, however, seems more knowledgeable on the topic than me.

I can't remember where she said she ordered it from, but I don't think it was France. Joe was defintely barely vertical after like half a vial of it LOL, and you could smell the stuff from across the room.

Believe me, Savbot only orders the real stuff. She doesn't stoop to the crappy Absente you can purchase in the US--this was $80 a bottle 68% Logan Fils http://www.absinth.com/links/loganfils.html --checking their site, I don't know where she found it for $80, but you can be sure if she paid $209/bottle she wouldn't make that a secret...

It was SO freaking awesome having you there, babe! Did you not receive an invite to the yahoogroup for pics? Scott uploaded all we had, plus 3 previous halloween parties.

Can't wait for you to come down for NYC! Maybe I can convince my Scooter to go to Birka this year! Meet you there, maybe?
